has finally stopped the oil leak in the Gulf. Unfortunately we don't know how
long that will stick...if it even will. In the meantime, there is still tons of
damage and your help is needed.
Both Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols have created Crowd Raise pages to help raise
money for the residents, animals, and land horribly affected by the oil leak. At
this present time, between the two of them, they've already raised over $5,000.
If you donate at least $50 on Sophia's page, she will personally send you an

SECOND 'ONE TREE HILL' FAN REUNION PLANNED
When number-crunchers try to calculate how much money a television or film
production brings to Wilmington, most things are easy to count. Sales taxes paid
on everything from food and lumber is simple enough. Salaries and wages, even
though temporary, can be estimated. Then there are car rentals, house rentals,
hotel room taxes and all the other day-to-day things that keep a production and
its people going.
What they have a hard time figuring, though, is how much our area benefits in
prestige and tourism dollars.
But when those number-crunchers sit down at the end of this year, they can at
least estimate the amount of money the two One Tree Hill Fan Reunions
contributed to the 2010 budget.
Organizer Christy-Anne Arancibia said she guesses each person on her tour spends
about $600 during their three to five days here.
"That's lodging, food. When me and my husband came down here we also did things
like the Henrietta, the horse and buggy and the studio tour," she said.
Their contribution to the economy will likely be the last thing on their minds.
The group, gathered from fan forums and websites, will come from all over the
United States and Canada.
The one thing they have in common is a raving affection for the
made-in-Wilmington CW series.
Arancibia, a Miami resident, hosted 32 "One Tree Hill" fans in January and is
bringing 14 more back for the second reunion July 24-26.

Gossip Cop -- After images emerged of Tom
Cruise and Will Smith leaving a West Hollywood restaurant yesterday,
there was a ton of speculation about the nature of their meeting.
Many outlets reported that it "was for a four-hour Scientology event."
Other
places, noting that a few other stars were there, including Anna Kendrick,
Milo Ventimiglia, Chad Michael Murray, Eric Dane, and
Johnny Galecki of "The Big Bang Theory," asked whether the younger actors
were "the next generation of Scientologists."
So, was it a Scientology pow wow?
Nope.
Cruise, Smith, and the other stars were at the Saddle Ranch, which has a
mechanical bull in the middle of the restaurant, for a table read of a movie
called Paper Wings, which is being developed by Smith's production company,
Overbrook Entertainment.
Our source, who is familiar with the project, explained that they "chose the
Saddle Ranch for the table read because the story of the film involves a bull
rider and a country singer."
It should be noted, though, that while those actors were at the reading, they
haven't yet officially signed on to the film. Sounds like a really good line-up of stars!!
HILARIE TALKS WHITE COLLAR,
SEASON PREMIERE TONIGHT!
Tonight is the second season premiere of
White
Collar, on which Hilarie Burton will be guest-starring. To celebrate the
premiere, Starpulse.com's Chelsea Doyle has posted her interview with cast
members from the show, Tim DeKay, Matt Bomer, Marsha Thomason, Sharif Atkins,
Matt Bomer, and of course, Hilarie Burton.
Hilarie's character Sara Ellis seems to have a past with Neal Caffrey (Bomer),
when asked about the history, this is what Hilarie had to say:
Hilarie Burton: You know they have a—I don't know how
much I'm allowed to give away. Nothing. I'm not going to give anything away. But
it seems that Neal has a past with everybody and I feel very fortunate to be one
of the woman that he has crossed paths with, whether that's in a good way or a
bad way. Yeah, I mean he certainly has made his mark on the city of Manhattan.
And, yeah, I think we come in with a little bit of a history and add some layers
to when our characters see each other again.
Chelsea: Are there going to be some romantic sparks between Sara and -?
Hilarie: And Neal? Well God I hope so, that's a good looking man [laughs]. I
mean, I think anybody regardless of gender, race, creed, wherever you're from,
can admit that he is probably one of the Seven Wonders of the World. That man is
beautiful and charming, so I wouldn't be opposed to that, that's ridiculous.

SOPHIA BUSH IS ECO-'CRAZY', CARRIES RECYCLABLES ON PLANES

lengths as Sophia Bush does to keep the Earth green. The One Tree Hill admits
she is crazy about recycling.
"I'm kind of crazy about it and have been for a really long time," she told On
The Red Carpet's Chi-Lan Lieu at the recent "Darker side of Green" debate series
event in Los Angeles. "I will go through the airport on two flights to get from
L.A. to Wilmington or back, and carry all of my recyclables with me if they're
not recycling on the plane."
She says, "I think the biggest step towards helping and 'greening' your life is
to be aware."
Bush also said she's glad the green movement has become somewhat chic in
Hollywood.
"It's great that people are realizing that it's not just a hippie thing to do,
it's something we all need to do," she said.

HINT AT ENGAGEMENT Do-gooding, good-looking duo Sophia
Bush and Austin Nichols hit Lexus' Darker Side of Green debate at Hollywood's
Palihouse last night to discuss their recent trip to the Gulf.
"It was a very sobering experience," Sophia told me of their trip to the
devastated region. "It was incredibly depressing spending time with the
fishermen and all of the locals."
Luckily, she had her boyfriend and One Tree Hill costar to lean on.
"It is really nice to have someone there that cares about you," Austin said.
"The first day we got back, she started crying. It was really heavy."
The two also got to enjoy a lighter vacay this summer with a trip to Hawaii. So,
could the romantic destination and their characters' onscreen engagement lead to
actual wedding bells?
"In real life? We shall see," Austin told me with a grin, before ducking inside
to watch the debate. |

were married last
weekend, on the 4th of July to be exact, in Michigan! We wished a congratulations
on Twitter, but were unable to get access to update our website until today.
Jana's co-stars Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols were in attendance.
Jana will be returning to Wilmington, N.C. soon to step back into the role of
Alex Dupre while filming for OTH's season eight begins this month.
NO MORE TEARS AS HILARIE BURTON
FIGHTS 'WHITE COLLAR' CRIME Hilarie Burton had plenty to cry
about on 'One Tree Hill.' To name just a few sad ordeals: Her character, Peyton,
saw her adoptive and birth mothers die, got shot herself, and endured a
harrowing pregnancy.
"We ran the gamut," Burton says.
"Anything that you can think of, we did."
Burton now is relishing the chance to run the gamut herself, playing a
tough-as-nails insurance investigator on the new season of USA Network's red-hot
'White Collar' (premiering July 13).
"This character doesn't cry, and I'm really excited about that," Burton says
with a laugh. "As soon as things started going good for Peyton, I left the show.
So if you want to see me having a good time and being quick-witted, this is the

Melissa Parker from Smashing Interviews Magazine recently talked with Jackson
Brundage about his role on One Tree Hill, his charity work, school, and
his favorite everyday activities. Turns out Jackson is really into karate!
How did you get interested in martial arts?
Jackson Brundage: When I was about four (close to five), I said to my mom, "Can
I do karate?" She said, "Sure, let's sign you up." Right down the hill from my
house is a karate studio so I went there for two years.

ATLAS SHRUGGED: PAUL
JOHANSSON STARRING AND DIRECTING via
SlashFilm.com -- Atlas is finally shrugging
towards theater screens. A few weeks ago we told you that producer John
Aglialoro was going to get a feature version of Ayn Rand's novel together come
hell or high water. And, indeed, cameras started to roll on Atlas Shrugged Part
One over the weekend. Who are the star and director? Same guy: Paul Johansson,
of the TV show One Tree Hill.
When last we reported on this, Stephen Polk, son of former MGM chairman Louis
Polk, was set to direct. At some point in the past couple weeks Johansson came
on board. He has directed a few things in the past, most notably a dozen
episodes of his show. And if he wanted a feature career, he's found one of the
more uniquely Hollywood ways to jumpstart one: agree to direct a last-minute
production of a massive novel for a producer who has to start shooting NOW or
else lose the rights he spent a million bucks on almost twenty years ago.
Variety reports that Aglialoro would have lost the rights if the film didn't go
into production by Saturday.

IT UP IN HOLLYWOOD
Former Tree Hill bartender, Joe Manganiello ("Owen") has been hanging out in LA
while promoting the new season of True Blood on which he's currently starring.
Joe attended the Hollywood premiere of True Blood's Season 3 last week--don't
you wish we had fun stuff like that for OTH?--and was seen this past weekend
taking in the festivities at the premiere of Xbox 360's "Project Natal" game.
We're sure you'll be seeing Joe a lot more now that he's the subject of so many
blog post regarding his shirtless scenes as Alcide on the HBO vampire hit.
SPECIAL TV SCHEDULE NOTE:
As we mentioned before, One Tree Hill will move to Tuesday nights
this fall on the CW with the timeslot of 8pm. Repeats will begin airing at that
time this summer starting on July 28th. Make sure you update your calendars!

BURTON ON THE SET OF 'WHITE COLLAR'
Matt Mitovitch from Fancast.com paid a visit to the set of White Collar,
on which Hilarie Burton will be guest-starring. Matt tweeted about running into
a very excited Hilarie outside of her dressing room. He said she was "SO happy
to be on White Collar". He noted that Hilarie's wardrobe is vastly different
from what we're used to seeing her wear on One Tree Hill. Apparently it's
a very high-fashion wardrobe. Hilarie also had to drop her Southern drawl to
play Sara, a Washington State-bred insurance investigator for the role.

Shantel VanSanten attended the Foley + Corinna Melrose Avenue Event with
Poshglam.com Wednesday in Los Angeles where she sorted through racks of the
girly dresses by the brand.
On Thursday, Shantel enjoyed creating her own

'OTH' EMMY SUBMISSIONS:
SOPHIA BUSH FOR BEST ACTRESS
Locally filmed drama series "One Tree Hill" has never been nominated for an
Emmy. That's probably not going to change.
If anything, I thought its best chance was last year in some of the technical
categories for its 1940s-themed episode. Still, being on the Emmy ballot can be
a way for networks and publicists to show support for their clients, and some
shows put every cast member up for contention. Others, like I assume "OTH" does,
leave it to the actors (or their publicists) to submit.
This year, Sophia Bush is the lone nominee from "One Tree Hill," which has

award this year are "I And Love And You" and "Last Day of Our Acquaintance."

Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols attended the
2010 Chrysalis Butterfly Ball this weekend. The
event--which was held at a private Mandeville Canyon estate in Los Angeles,
California--raised funds to help the homeless, and those struggling with
poverty, find employment.
Other celebrities in attendance included Ashley Greene, Eva Mendes, Amber Riley,
Christina Ricci, and 90210's AnnaLynne McCord and Jessica Stroup.

TREE HILL"
A new interview with Tyler Hilton was just posted on StarPulse.com. In the
interview Tyler talked about connecting with his fans via YouTube and other

Books for Kids, as well as acting. When asked about the possibility of returning

SCHWAHN: WILL SEASON 8 BE ITS LAST?
Last week, "One Tree Hill" was picked up by The CW for an 8th year, just two
days before the network's official fall schedule was presented to advertisers in
New York.
The 11th hour renewal was a big victory for the show's cast, crew and its
creator, Mark Schwahn, who tells Korbi TV that this next year is really a gift
to the loyal fans who have stuck with "OTH" for seven years and deserve to see
its storylines tied up properly.
So, will this 8th go-round be the series' last? Schwahn weighs in ...

MS: It's such a great question because nobody's talking like that! I never

SCHWAH ON CLIFFHANGERS,
LAST MINUTE RENEWAL & 'LUX' RIVALRY via Zap2it -- Last Tuesday (May 18), a day after the seventh season
finale of "One Tree Hill" aired, The CW announced that the series will be back
this fall for an eighth year.
Though the show's cast and crew had the luxury of being renewed early over the
last couple seasons, that was not the case this time around.
According to show creator Mark Schwahn, the decision really did come down to the
last possible second and, though Monday's (May 17) finale included some pretty
serious cliffhangers, the producers truly didn't know if they would have the
opportunity to tie them up.
Schwahn, who says he and his cast and crew couldn't be more giddy and energized
about getting that chance, was kind enough to tell Korbi TV the true story of
how the 11th hour renewal actually went down...
When Clay and Quinn were shot just seconds before the finale faded to black, we
figured you knew for sure that the show was getting another season. Is that not
true?
MS: It's such a good question and, you know, I haven't talked to anyone about
this -- I don't think I've even done an interview since [last fall] when you and
I talked -- but no, I saw some speculation online about [the show's fate], but I

'OTH' STAR ROBERT BUCKLEY CELEBRATES RENEWAL

"One Tree Hill" is the CW's version of the little engine that could. Every time
it looks like the show is about to get canceled, its dedicated and vocal fanbase
come to the rescue, demanding another season. Star Robert Buckley (Clay) told
MTV News on the green carpet at the CW upfronts on Thursday (May 20) that he
didn't get the news of their renewal for season eight until this week.
"Oh my God! We got picked up. Woo!" he exclaimed, kidding that he just found out
on the carpet. "No, I found out on Tuesday morning-ish, and I found out from an
Internet website. Just goes to show you the power of the press."
'LIFE UNEXPECTED,' 'OTH,' 'SMALLVILLE': NEWS
FROM THE CW UPFRONT
The good news for fans of "One Tree Hill" and "Life Unexpected" is that both
series will be on The CW in the fall. The (potentially) bad news is that at the
moment, they aren't guaranteed full seasons.
"We don't know if they're going to come back yet for 22 episodes each," CW
Entertainment president Dawn Ostroff said Thursday (May 20) at the network's
upfront. "They may. We haven't really talked about exact numbers yet."
Ostroff also says that each show will likely start off with a 13-episode order,
and additional shows will be determined by how well they perform (they're paired
up on Tuesday nights in the fall). The CW will likely be ordering more shows for
midseason as well -- so far the only midseason pickup is a reality show called
"Shedding for the Wedding" -- and will need to find spots for them, which would
mean benching some shows for a while.
Nonetheless, Ostroff says "OTH" and "Lux" will "probably" end up with 22-episode
orders. "Our main concern was getting them on together in the fall," she says.
"Then we'll also have some midseason [shows] behind it."

THIS FALL
As was reported yesterday, The CW has picked up OTH for an eight season and
along with that a few new shows, one being "Hellcats". What you may not
know is that One Tree Hill alumni Matt Barr (Psycho Derek) and
Robbie Jones (Quentin Fields) are part of the starring cast.
HELLCATS: The series stars Alyson Michalka and Ashley Tisdale and revolves around a
college girl from the wrong side of the tracks who, after losing her scholarship
because of budget cutbacks and her mother's chronic irresponsibility, joins the
Hellcats, the college's competitive cheerleading team. The potential series is
described as "Election meets Bring It On". The show is based on the book Cheer:
Inside the Secret World of College Cheerleaders by journalist Kate Torgovnick.

Tree Hill and put our favorites in a gorgeous mountain retreat so they could
frolic in the snow and share emotional moments. You provided the cornyness we ve
come to expect (the owl), the emotional payoffs we demand (Julian s proposal to
Brooke) and, in what felt like a wonderful way for the series to end while still
leaving us with the knowledge that life will go on in Tree Hill, another baby
for Hayley and Nathan.

Did you know that before Buckley made his way to Hollywood he studied to
economics? He even worked as a consultant in the field before quiting to make
