IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING UPDATES - 5.30.08

We're sure you all have noticed the website has not been updated for two weeks now. We know you guys think we sort of disappeared, Please be assured that is not the case.

Over the last month or so we've been MIA here and there and mentioned a bit that our sister was having a difficult pregnancy. Well, after our last post on May 14th @ 7:16PM our sister gave birth to a baby boy, and he has been in the hospital since then. Our nephew is currently in critical condition, and fighting very hard. We ask that you all please keep our sister Camille, the baby and our family in your prayers.

At this moment, we are taking a short break from OTHWeb. More than likely we will be headed out of town to visit our family soon. We will NOT abandon the website, we will still be around and doing as much updating as possible. Just please bare with us at this difficult time.

· ADDRESSING CANCELLATION RUMORS
Word has been flying around the internet rapidly about this being the last season of One Tree Hill and it's mainly due to Chad and Sophia not signing on for a seventh season. We're not sure where this rumor originated from, but we're here to let you know that it's absolutely false. There's no truth to it. Besides, the sixth season hasn't even premiered yet so there hasn't been any official talk as to whether the it's the final one, or just the beginning of more. Please disregard any further rumors.

The new season premieres Monday, September 1st at 9pm - tune in!

SUNDAY - August 17, 2008

· THE LAST SOURCIES OF THE SUMMER
The time has come... for the newest and last round of The CW Sourcies. While One Tree Hill's favorite wicked mother, Victoria Davis lost out to Supernatural's Lilith for "Best (Worst) Villain" -- we still have time to see if OTH dominates in the "Best Cliffhanger" round. You still have time to VOTE so get all your votes in before Monday at 11:59pm (central time)!

Back to this weeks category -- "Best Brother Moments". We're sensing this last round is going to be quite a battle amongst One Tree Hill and Supernatural fans considering the strong connections of both the Scott bro's of Tree Hill and the Winchester's. Currently Supernatural has the lead so let's get to it! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

Time to band together so OTH can end the Sourcies in style! You have until Thursday, August 21 at 11:59pm (central) to get ALL of your VOTES in for "Best Brother Moments". After they're announced, it'll be less than 2 weeks until One Tree Hill returns with all new episodes! Yay!

· BARBARA TALKS "PORT CITY"
StarNewsOnline has posted a new article reporting about the work being down on Barbara Alyn Wood's new movie, Port City that is currently being filmed around Wilmington. The writer Amy Hotz even caught up with Barbara to ask her about why she decided to do the film while juggling One Tree Hill and family life.

The mysterious woman in black will not be very mysterious to locals. That character is portrayed by One Tree Hill star and this year's Azalea queen, Barbara Alyn Woods.

Even though she wanted to do a feature film, Woods wasn't sure she could juggle that along with a busy One Tree Hill schedule and all the things a mother of three is committed to. But when she read the script, Woods accommodated the logistics.

"I loved the character," Woods said. "Andy's a good writer. And you don't find good writers that often. I thought I would hop aboard his little wagon while he's young and I was impressed with him as a person, too."

· THE NARROWS AT TORONTO FILM FESTIVAL
We already informed you that Hilarie's new movie, The Secret Life of Bees is set to be shown at the Toronto International Film Festival, but it turns out that so will Sophia's film! The Narrows is one of the 17 films that have been added to premiere at the 2008 festival next month.

François A. Velle's The Narrows which stars Kevin Zegers, Vincent D'Onofrio, Titus Welliver, and Sophia Bush is about a Brooklyn-raised young man, Mike Manadoro (Zegers) who attends NYU and meets the beautiful and confident Kathy (Bush). Naturally the two fall in love... much to the dismay of Mike's family -- a tight-knit Italian family who wants their son to marry his girlfriend from the neighborhood.

As we said before, premiere dates have not yet been announced but the festival will run from September 4-13. Purchase your tickets ASAP.

x 6.01 - "Touch Me I'm Going To Scream, PT 1"


· SOPHIA HITS UP SMASHBOX STUDIOS
Sophia was spotted on her way to a photo shoot at Smashbox Studios in Culver City on Wednesday. What could the photo shoot be for? Well, a number of things of course! Maybe a magazine cover? One Tree Hill promotional photos? Or possibly for her new movie The Narrows which is due out in theaters soon.

If you don't already know what the film is about, it's based off the novel "Heart of the Old Country" by Tim McLoughlin. In movie, Sophia plays Kathy Popovich, "a beautiful, cool, intellectual young woman" who meets Kevin Zeger's character, Mike Manadoro "a 19 year old Brooklyn boy who is torn between two worlds of his new college life and his tight knit Italian neighborhood roots". Kathy meets Mike at NYU and the two fall for each other, even though Mike is promised to marry his long-term girlfriend from his neighborhood Gina (played by Monica Keena, Dawson's Creek).

· CW SOURCIES - UPDATE!
We hope you've all been keeping up-to-date with The CW Sourcies during our summer hiatus. But, if not -- we'll give you the run-down of One Tree Hill's progress over the weeks. In the last eight rounds of categories that OTH has been nominated in, they've only won three which included: Nathan and Haley as the Best Lover's Quarrel and Lucas' harsh "I hate you" in response to Peyton in the Worst "I Love You" Response. Best "Dude, I've Got Your Back" Moment when Mouth covered up Lucas lash out video against a teen basketball player as the most recent victory.

This week OTH is up for two more! Best Villian and it's not Dan -- it's Victoria Davis, Brooke's ultra-snobby mother! Supernatural's Lilith and Smallville's Lex are also up for this and seeing as how those shows keep winning big with the Sourcies -- we need to step our game up! You can still place your VOTE now and find out the results today August 14th at 11:59 PM CT. In their second category, OTH is up for Best Cliffhanger. If you're still reeling from the season finale and you're dying to know who Lucas called and what happened to Dan, make sure you also VOTE NOW. Results will be in on Monday, August 18th at 11:59 PM CT. Vote! Vote! Vote!

· TEN INCH HERO LONDON SCREENING
Ten Inch Hero which stars OTH alum stars, Danneel Harris and Elisabeth Harnois will have a special screening in London on Saturday, September 6th. The location for the event will be at the Odeon Cinema in Kingston Upon Thames, which is about 30 minutes by train from Waterloo.

Ten Inch Hero is an independent film that centers on a group of friends who work at a local sandwich shop in Santa Cruz, California. The movie also features songs from OTH's Bethany Joy Galeotti.

Currently they are planning two screening, one which will be at noon and the other at 3pm. Purchase your tickets early, they must sell 300 tickets in order to make the screening happen. Also, get there early!

· SOPHIA AND PATCH LOVE BIDEAWEE!
It's no secret that Sophia Bush has a soft spot in her heart for animals and has helped many over the years, especially with caring for stray dogs. Most recently she has been devoting time to helping animals by posing with her pooches in an upcoming PSA for Bideawee.

If you're not familiar with Bideawee, it's one of the oldest humane organizations in the United States that raises awareness for keeping animals in a safe environment and with people who can provide them with a safe and loving home. Sophia was among many other celebrities who also posed with the furry friends, including; Bernadette Peters, Joan Rivers, Jaclyn Smith, Maeve Quinlan, Hallie Kate Eisenberg and Marilu Henner.

· TREE HILL RAVENS NEWEST ADDITION
Huntington, West Virginia actor, David Alley, a former basketball player from Spring Valley High School has landed himself a role on One Tree Hill this season! David will have a recurring role as a player on the Tree Hill Ravens this season which is pretty good considering he's only 18 months into his buddy acting career. · LINDSEY IS NOT GONE.
To all you Leyton fans and Brucas supporters, if you think since Michaela McManus scored a role on Law & Order: SVU that there's a better chance Lucas didn't pick Lindsey – you're wrong. Check out what TV Guide's Michael Ausiello had to say about Michaela's extended stay on your favorite show in his Ask Ausiello section.

Ausiello: Hate is such a strong word. Appropriate in this instance, but a strong word nonetheless. Anywho, here's your bone (it's a big one, so get ready): Lindsey's back! Sources confirm to me exclusively that Michaela McManus' new bosses at Law & Order: SVU have given her the OK to return to OTH this season. For how long, you ask? I'm not sayin'! In other words, don't be so sure you've got the "Who'd Lucas Call?" cliffhanger figured out.

WEDNESDAY - August 13, 2008

· NEW SEASON 6 PROMO SPOT
One Tree Hill's sixth season premieres on September 1st – that's only 19 days away so mark your calendars! In the meantime, check out The CW's new commercial promoting the new season. · SOPHIA'S ANNOYING AIRPORT FLIGHT
Paparazzi made sure they caught up with Sophia Bush to stalk her a little bit at LAX airport on Tuesday while she waited to board her airplane that was delayed for over 2 hours.

· JOY AND CHAD ARE 'BRANCHING' OUT
TV Guide recently announced that the actors of One Tree Hill will have their chance to explore their talents during the sixth season... from behind the camera.

Chad Michael Murray, who confessed last year that he is in the midst of writing his first novel, will take his turn at writing an episode of OTH. The episode Chad wrote for the show will not air early on in the season, but you can expect lots of mystery in his themed episode! Apparently the episode will have a very 1930's, kind of a Casablanca feel in a black and white setting. We're excited!

Chad isn't the only one getting his feet wet in another aspect of the show; Bethany Joy Galeotti will be directing an episode! This will be Joy's first time directing an episode, but Mark Schwahn, the series creator is known for having the cast of his show be very involved in production. Over the past five seasons Paul Johansson ("Dan Scott") and Moira Kelly ("Karen Roe") have directed.

As TV Guide reported, Mark Schwahn will be offering guidance to Chad and Joy.

· HILARIE ON "LITTLE BRITAIN"
Hilarie Burton has kept herself busy this summer! Among her USO Tour trip to Cuba, filming The Secret Life of Bees and getting back to work on One Tree Hill, Hilarie also found the time to guest-star on HBO's new sketch comedy show, Little Britain USA.

Hilarie will be playing the role of a college student who shocks the character 'Dafyyd' who thinks he's the "only gay on campus", when he founds out she's a lesbian.

The inspiration behind the show comes from the original UK series, Little Britain. You can watch Hilarie on Little Britain USA next month, Sunday, September 28th on HBO.

· SOPHIA SUPPORTS CHRISTINA APPLEGATE
It's been about a week since word got out about actress, Christina Applegate's being diagnosed with breast cancer. Since the news broke, Christina's fellow Hollywood stars spoke out in support of the Samantha Who? actress whose ABC hit comedy show was nominated at the 2008 Teen Choice Awards. Watch this video to hear what Sophia Bush had to say when ETOnline.com caught up with her on the TCA's blue carpet.

· Q&A WITH DANNEEL HARRIS
Us Weekly and Dove are doing a campaign focusing on "20 Questions for Twenty-Something's" where they spotlight five Hollywood actresses and ask them questions centered on their career, goals and finding their inner beauty.
